Description
This program grants a high degree (Master's degree) in the field of botany by studying a number of general, specialized, and supportive courses, and after passing them, a research project is presented on one of the topics of botany supported by laboratory experiments.
Objectives
1- Raising the level of the graduate scientifically by providing him with science, modern knowledge and practical skills in the fields of botany to provide him with the skills needed by the labor market through the prescribed study plans.
2- The procession of scientific progress and its various applications, and adapting them to serve the community and the environment through the continuous development and updating of the scientific and research programs of the department.
3- Introducing modern scientific techniques to encourage scientific research and provide students with the necessary skills in this field.
4- Documenting scientific links in botany with local and international universities and scientific bodies, and carrying out scientific research that contributes to solving community problems at the local and regional levels.
Outcomes
After obtaining a master's degree, the student will have acquired the experience and knowledge that enables him to conduct scientific research

Study Plan
The Master in Botany prepares students to qualify for Master in Botany. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.
It comprises 6 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 36 units, which include 0 units of general subjects, and 23 major units, 4 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.
