Description
The Special Education Department is one of the specializations of the Faculty of Education and it is concerned with graduating special education teachers and trainees to work with persons with disabilities, and to provide them with services in several fields.
Objectives
That the student acquires the experiences and skills that enable him to work with people with special needs in various educational environments. That the student acquires the ability to design individual plans and prepare training programs to provide appropriate services for people with special needs. The student acquires the ability to benefit from the available resources to provide services to those in needOutcomes
The student acquires knowledge and understanding, masters mental skills, practical and vocational skills, general and transferable skills.

Study Plan
The Bachelor in Special Education prepares students to qualify for Bachelor in Special Education. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.
It comprises 8 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 131 units, which include 44 units of general subjects, and 79 major units, 4 of elective units. In addition to a final project in the student's major.

The objective of the applied teaching course is to prepare the students for teaching practice by providing opportunities to practice teaching in various ways (teaching methods) within the college. This will equip students with the necessary skills in preparation for teaching practice on the one hand, and for real teaching on the other. Through this course, the students apply (or train on) various modern teaching methods (according to specialization) covered during General Teaching Methods and Specialised Teaching Methods, including giving lessons, planning the lesson, preparing questions, discussing, designing exams, and correcting them, dealing with students, assessment and evaluation, class management, use of educational technology, and all other skills and tasks that the teacher performs in all psychological, behavioural and scientific aspects. This course also includes organizing visits for students to centres and institutions for people with special needs.
