Description

The student studies specialized courses in the science of hadith, research and debate Literature, contemporary jurisprudence issues, and the purposes of Islamic law. To contribute to the formation of the student's jurisprudential skills, and discuss the issues of society and  suggest resolutions to tackle it.

Objectives

Graduating specialists in Sharia sciences and Islamic studies .

Developing scientific research methodology in the sciences of Sharia, and raising the movement of jurisprudence with its legal standards.

 Communicate with the community and consider its issues by participating in various activities. through  lectures, scientific lessons, answering the respondents, and preparing graduates to work in many fields.

Developing the authentic culture of society and spreading the spiritual and moral values of Islamic culture.

Outcomes

·         Apply the knowledge in practical life and benefit  others in society.

·         Sharia and jurisprudential jurisprudence in new issues and giving Sharia ruling thereon.

·         Preparing a generation aware of the issues of its nation and religion by transmitting what it has learned to subsequent generations.

·         Contribute to the development of national, religious and legitimate feeling in society.

·         To be able to benefit from modern technology in spreading science.

·         Ability to benefit from research, courses and the Internet in the field of jurisprudence.

Entry Reuirements

·         The candidate must have the Master's degree in Islamic studies.

·         Passing the interview exam.

·         The candidate  must pass the subjects successfully with a grade of good 65% or above.

·         The candidate must study more than 24 units.

·         Providing all the justifications and documents required by the university of Tripoli  for the applicant to study in the department.

Study Plan

The PhD in Islamic Studies prepares students to qualify for PhD in Islamic Studies. The student studies several subjects which have been carefully chosen in this major to cover its different aspects.

It comprises 3 Semesters of study, in which the student will study a total of 24 units, which include 3 units of general subjects, and 21 major units
